Management Team

Andrew Harries

Andrew Harries is the founding President and CEO of Zeugma Systems and has overseen the company's development since its initial seed funding in October 2004.

In 1993, Andrew co-founded Sierra Wireless, Inc. and during his eleven years at that company held responsibility for marketing, sales, customer service, strategic alliances, product development, IT, manufacturing and supply chain management. During that period Sierra Wireless grew to over US$200 million in annual revenues.
 
Previously, Andrew held management positions with Motorola and was a management consultant in Europe. Andrew holds a Master of Business Administration degree from Simon Fraser University and received his early education and started his career in the UK and Ireland.
 
Andrew holds three US patents, chairs the SFU Business Department Dean's External Advisory Board and is a member of the board of governors of Science World British Columbia.
 

Siegfried (Sig) Luft

Siegfried Luft is the founder and CTO of Zeugma Systems and has 20 years of experience in the telecommunications industry. Prior to Zeugma Systems, he was a co-founder of Siara Systems, which merged with Redback Networks. As founding President and General Manager of Siara Research Canada, the Canadian subsidiary, Siegfried and his team developed the first release of the SmartEdge 800, which contributed significant revenues for Redback Networks.

Prior to Siara Systems, Siegfried held a Senior Architect role and was part of the founding team at Fiberlane Communications. Fiberlane later became Cerent Corporation, which was acquired by Cisco Systems. Siegfried began his career at MPR Teltech where he held various engineering and leadership positions.

Siegfried has a number of pending patents related to optical protection mechanisms, highly scalable distributed systems, and tiered service routing. Siegfried holds a B.Sc. in Computer Science and Engineering from the University of Victoria.

Jeff Dillabough

Jeff Dillabough is Vice President of Engineering at Zeugma Systems with over 17 years in the telecommunications industry. Prior to joining Zeugma Systems, Jeff was Director of Product Development at PMC-Sierra. During his 8 years at PMC he designed the core bus for PMC's Any-Service-Any-Port line interface architecture, was responsible for a number of semiconductor devices used in PDH and lower rate SONET/SDH interfaces for routers, switches and cross-connects.

Before joining PMC-Sierra, Jeff worked at Hewlett-Packard (Agilent) designing test equipment for telecom R&D labs. His most significant contribution was architecting and managing much of the industry-standard Broadband Series Test System which is world renowned for its wide range of capabilities in ATM switch development, high-speed access devices, carrier networks, and ATM services.
Jeff has one patent related to device interconnects used in multi-service line cards as well as two patents pending relating to digital cross connect synchronization and high port count cell interface polling. Jeff holds a B.A.Sc. in Electrical Engineering from the University of British Columbia.

Tom Meehan

Tom Meehan is Vice President, Product Management at Zeugma Systems. Previously he spent five years at Siara Systems and Redback Networks where as Director of Product Management he had extensive exposure to broadband networks worldwide, in particular, next generation broadband deployments.

Tom began his career as a software developer of Data Communication protocols. He worked on the user side as an AVP of network engineering for several Wall Street institutions that were early adoptors of IP technology. He spent five years at Wellfleet/Bay Networks/Nortel where he held positions in Network Consultancy and Product Management eventually as Product Line Manager for the Routing Protocols in Bay Networks routing product Line.
Tom holds a BA, BAI in Engineering from Trinity College Dublin. He holds several US patents and has co-authored multiple submissions to the DSL Forum and IETF Drafts/RFC.

Rick Sequerth

Rick Sequerth is Vice President, Worldwide Sales at Zeugma Systems. Prior to joining Zeugma, Rick was the Vice President of Worldwide Business Development and International Sales at Hatteras Networks. During his time at Hatteras, Rick developed the first PTT and Alternative Carrier customers as well as closing and managing the first OEM partners.

Previously Rick has held a variety of sales management, marketing and business development roles with several venture backed startups all in the Carrier Market including Crescent Networks, AirFiber, Stratacom and Primary Access. 

Rick holds a BA degree from the University of Georgia and started his career at IBM.

Justin Currie

Justin Currie is Vice President of Finance at Zeugma Systems. Prior to joining Zeugma, he spent six years at Creation Technologies Inc., a contract electronic manufacturer serving emerging technology companies with low to medium volume, high complexity requirements. In his role as Director of Finance, he supported budgeting, reporting, financing, M&A activities, business unit operations and ERP deployment programs during a period of dynamic growth.

Other organizations to which Justin has contributed include the Auditor General of Bermuda, BDO Dunwoody Chartered Accountants and the Auditor General of Canada.
Justin holds a B. Comm. from the Carleton University and is a Chartered Accountant.

Kevin Walsh

Kevin Walsh is Vice President of Marketing at Zeugma Systems and has over 25 years of telecommunications and networking industry experience. Prior to joining Zeugma, Kevin was Vice President of Corporate Marketing at Calix, a leading supplier of broadband access solutions, where he contributed to the company's stellar growth over a six-year period. Prior to Calix, Kevin was President and COO of Irvine Networks, a developer of TCP Offload Engines. Leading the marketing efforts of many technology startups such as broadband access supplier Accelerated Networks and LAN switching innovator Xylan, Kevin helped achieve strong growth and execute successful IPOs.

Kevin started his career as a software development engineer specializing in networking protocols. A frequent speaker at key industry events, Kevin has written a number of technical articles for industry publications.
Kevin received his BS in Computer Science from the University of California, Irvine and his MBA from Pepperdine University in Malibu.
