Comparing emerging Internet video on an HDTV to today’s linear video draws comparisons to what the Web was to AOL in the late 1990s; the future vs. the past. Telcos contemplating their first video offerings may look to less complex Internet video offerings that may be aligned with emerging consumer viewing trends. Early adopter telcoTV operators can look to internet video to further increase revenue and expand broadband market share.
