 The Zeugma Smart Series is a suite of applications deployable directly within the Zeugma Services Node (ZSN) that allow broadband service providers to customize network behavior and enable new revenue-generating services. The Smart Series leverages the Zeugma Open Applications Sandbox (OAS), a key component of the ZSN allows unique applications to be defined and run. Application types can range from simple policy management (decision and enforcement) to advanced content quality analysis. These functions may currently exist in appliance-based systems or in separate server facilities. Integrating these functions onto Zeugma’s carrier grade service delivery router, where they can be installed, upgraded or removed as demand dictates, enables new service opportunities that did not exist before. Such applications extend the inherent capabilities of the ZSN to provide full sessionand transaction inspection capability, often referred to as deep session inspection (DSI).
Multiple applications can run simultaneously, providing diverse functionality sets to varying subscribers, allowing the service provider maximize revenue opportunities.
Application integration is typically performed by Zeugma Systems with our dedicated application development team or in partnership with best-in-class application providers. A published software development kit (SDK) is available to customers and partners for the development of customized applications.
